Many of our domestic customers contact us to dismantle trees as they have become too large for their property and are blocking light or damaging their home. When a tree is in close proximity to a property and located in an urban area, it is vital that it is dismantled with care. At New Forest Tree Surgeons we understand the importance of the surroundings we work and ensure that the safety and well-being of people and homes are paramount to our work.
New Forest Tree Surgeons have one of the largest and highly qualified teams of tree surgeons in the New Forest region and we are confident that our team can handle any tree felling project, large or small. We have worked with public sector clients including schools and councils to dismantle or fell trees which are unsafe and a danger to the public and we are available to do fast reaction dismantling when storms or high winds have caused a tree to become an immediate danger to the public.
Whether your objective is to promote healthy growth, increase fruit production, improve your view and let in more sunlight, or remove dangerous branches, the New Forest Tree Surgeons’ crews are qualified and experienced to do the job.
Pruning a tree in a confined residential area can require a great deal of skill. Key considerations need to be given to avoid damage to surrounding buildings, water pipes, power lines and existing vegetation. New Forest Tree Surgeons’ experienced arborists have all the latest up-to-date equipment and modern techniques to do the job with minimal fuss and with safety in mind. All staff are trained, and completely up-to-date with modern arboricultural practices and all work is carried out to BS 3998 (2010), the standard for pruning of amenity trees.
New Forest Tree Surgeons use several pieces of specialist equipment to grind large or small tree stumps and stump removal can take place across New Forest for domestic or commercial customers.
Our stump grinders range from large excavator/tractor mounted machines, for those large development sites, to pedestrian grinders for small or hard-to-access stumps.
New Forest Tree Surgeons’ machines remove the stump and the surface roots close to the stump and it doesn’t matter if the tree is alive or dead as we can remove the tree and the stump safely and take away any unwanted wood. We can also reinstate your garden to the same quality as the surrounding landscape, allowing you to get on with your replanting and revegetation projects.
When it comes to tree planting or transplanting trees and shrubs, it’s not as simple as digging a hole and filling it with a plant.
New Forest Tree Surgeons’ experienced and qualified staff plant to industry standards which gives the plants the best possible chance to survive. Our staff can assist with species selection as not all varieties suit all locations. Even in a country as small as the UK, the climate can vary dramatically, especially in winter. All trees and shrubs are locally sourced for their provenance to give them the best chance of survival.
Our qualified arborists excel in identifying tree and shrub species, understanding their needs and interpreting yours. Whether you need to replace or transplant one specimen or get an entire garden shrub border in the ground, you can trust our team to do the job well, no matter how big or small.
We can source trees and shrubs, provide instructions for their care and take care of their ongoing maintenance with our arboriculture services. Our skilled planting staff are available to carry out large and small scale planting projects and because we also provide landscaping and consultation, we can ensure any size tree and shrub planting project is a success for the long-term.
From council parks, streets and gardens to rural properties, our professional team can provide arborist services to suit all situations. Whether your project is commercial or domestic, large or small, contact us now, our consultants are ready to work with you.
Crown reduction is a reduction of spread and/or height of the crown of a tree. The crown of a tree is the foliage bearing section (leafy part) of the tree formed by its branches and does not include any clear stem/trunk.
Crown reductions are achieved by accessing the extremities of the crown and reducing the tips of the branches and the tops. Many small cuts will ensure that the tree can recover from the work and also means that the final result will maintain the shape and structure of the tree but in a smaller form.
Crown reductions reduce the mechanical stress caused by overheavy branches, increase the wind stability of the tree, let more light past the tree and shape and structure preserved in smaller form.
